The Farm at the Squire Tarbox Inn was started in 2003 by our son, Kyle. His dream to grow organic vegetables in a way that was sustainable and worked with mother nature instead of against her has come to fruition. The Farm is certified organic through MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Assoc.) so there is peace of mind knowing that everything is organic and local. Kyle, along with his partner, Angie, also forage for wild edibles such as gourmet mushrooms. The Farm has recently expanded to include cut annual and perennial flowers as well as a greenhouse, making our growing season substantially longer. Great pride is taken in selecting seeds for the growing season. There are old favorites as well as new varieties. Kyle is always on the hunt for veggies that look great, taste delicious, and perform well in the Maine coastal climate.
Look for the Farm's produce and flowers at Morning Glory in Brunswick, Bath Natural Market, Rising Tide Co-Op in Damariscotta, Treats in Wiscasset. the Damariscotta Farmer's Market, the Bath Farmer's Market and the Farm Stand at the Inn. You can also find our produce at several local eateries. We always welcome visitors to the farm. We take great pride in what we do at the Farm and love to show visitor's around and answer any questions. So come and visit us soon. We look forward to having you.
