Wonderful place, great hosts and staff. Would drive out of my way to stay here again.

Beautiful place! Was recently lucky enough to attend a wedding there and was very impressed with the beauty and thoughtful layout of the entire place.

So, if you want peace and quiet, beautiful setting this is the place to be. Rates were well worth what you receive. Remote yet still close to everything you want or need. We absolutely will be back.

Charming and delightful recently restored country manor, with a very friendly owner who designed every last detail with great taste. Lovely well curated breakfast included. Gorgeous and peaceful grounds to wander including saltwater, a pond, goats, etc.

Absolutely wonderful, though too brief, stay. Room was historic with modern fixtures and a comfortable bed, the commons rooms were beautifully, tastefully decorated, and the grounds provided for lovely walks, and visits with the resident goats and chickens. Tasty breakfast box and excellent coffee completed the stay. Only some rooms are dog-friendly, but they love the dogs that stay. Already planning a return for a longer visit.

If you are looking for a magical place in ME, isolated enough to feel like you have complete privacy, but close enough to everything, you must visit the Squire Tarbox Inn. This beautifully restored 1763 farmhouse is a dream. The rooms are all meticulously renovated to have all the modern comforts with a laid back feel. And as a bonus, they have goats, chickens and a trail that takes you down to the most peaceful salt marsh.

This was such a lovely stay! We enjoyed our visit immensely and particularly loved all of the options for places to sit and take in the views. Such a beautifully renovated and unique property! We’ve been burning the candle that we purchased since our visit and it brings with it happy memories! Thank you!!

We were there for just a couple of days, but from what we saw it gets top rating. From the moment you drive in you know you are at a peaceful retreat away from everything. The place was beautifully decorated and had the farmhouse charm.

Our family had an amazing time here! The staff was so warm and welcoming to our kids, and the property and inn were absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to go back next summer!!!

We had a fabulous time at the Squire Tarbox Inn. Gorgeous picturesque setting, comfortable and cozy sleeping quarters, rustic and elegant common areas and our delicious quiche and scones, were all amazing touches that made us feel special during our stay. We had the Mary Margaret room and it was so beautifully put together with the fluffiest pillows and softest sheets. The shower was nice and hot and the air conditioning was nice and cool! The grounds were beautiful and natural and the chickens and goats were adorable. The staff were all pleasant and professional. We I'll be recommending this magical place to others.

What an amazing place with amazing service. The rooms are delightful, it’s really not that far from town, and the history is so rich. Had an incredible breakfast in the morning and got to say hi to the chubby little goats. I’ll be staying here again in the future. What a gem.
