Thoughtfully updated in 2018, The Squire Tarbox Inn features 11 uniquely curated rooms, each with its own private bathroom and air conditioner. Here are some of our favorite rooms at the Squire Tarbox Inn!

The Mittman 

Part of the original Squire Tarbox Inn, The Mittman Room features one king bed, original wood floors, and an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. This light and bright space overlooks the inn's charming front lawn and includes a beautiful brick fireplace.‍

The Maude

Located in the original small attached barn, The Maude Room is found on the second floor, adjacent to The Mary Margaret Room. This peaceful room comfortably accommodates a queen bed and two bedside tables. The spacious en suite bath with a walk-in shower features a window overlooking the back lawn--we call it the loo with the view!

The Mario

The Mario Room is accessed by a private outdoor entrance and exterior staircase, tucked away just outside what was originally the inn's attached barn. Located on the second floor, this room features a stunning view of the back lawn and pasture, with a private open porch that offers a breathtaking second-story vantage point--the perfect spot to enjoy a local beer.

The Mary Margaret

The Mary Margaret Room, which overlooks the back lawn, is located on the second floor of what was originally a small attached barn. It has a cozy loft area with two twin beds, accessible only by an antique French fruit ladder (suitable for children over age 6). This airy room features a queen bed, two twin beds, and a compact en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Polly

Located in what was once the original Tarbox family home, The Polly Room is a spacious first floor setting with original wood floors, two twin beds, and a walk-in shower.

Pet Friendly

We are pet friendly and want our guests to enjoy the company of their well-behaved dog while on vacation! The inn limits the number of dogs to no more than one pet under 75lbs. Pet friendly reservations must be made in advance since the inn has limited accommodations for pets.

Pet friendly rooms include The Polly, The Mittman, The Eleanor, The Roni and The Mario. A pet fee of $50 will be added to your accommodation charges, and any damages to the rooms will be assessed and charged accordingly.
