Located on Davis Island in the Sheepscott River, Fort Edgecomb traces its origins to the early 19th century. Interpretive panels unfold the events surrounding the Fort's history when hostilities in Europe dictated construction of forts to protect local residents.
Founded in 1962, Maine Maritime Museum sits on a beautiful 20-acre campus on the banks of the Kennebec River in “The City of Ships,” Bath, Maine.The museum is dedicated to promoting an understanding and appreciation of Maine’s maritime heritage and culture.
So grateful we found The Squire Tarbox Inn. The stay was a highlight of our New England trip. The atmosphere is lovely and the “grab and go” chive and cheddar scones with fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola was exceptional.
