The 500+ acre conservation area fronts over a mile of stunningly beautiful beach and dunes. Hike 2 miles each way through the salt marshes to enjoy a picnic and afternoon swimming and relaxing on the pristine, private beach. Parking is limited, so arrive early in the morning. No public restrooms.
In 2009, Long Grain opened its doors in the beautiful seaside town of Camden, Maine. We call our cuisine "honest food" meaning we use seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, no inconvenient truths here. Although many consider Long Grain a Thai restaurant, our dishes are inspired by many different Asian cuisines and cultures. Thai and Vietnamese street food, fare served in small eateries in Singapore and meals on dinner tables in Indonesia and Japan can all be found here. We look forward to welcoming you to our table.
The Squire Tarbox Inn is everything you could imagine it would be, a quaint rural homestead with luscious gardens, pastoral vistas, nestled in one of the best parts of the Maine coast. The Inn is a beautifully preserved home with all the warmth and charm of a cozy New England escape. The owners pay homage to the historical significance of the architecture while attending to details with discerning and well-appointed design choices. We were able to experience a step back in time with all the modern conveniences and amenities that will make this a very memorable stay. If you are in the midcoast area, I highly recommend taking the trip to Westport. It will not disappoint.
